Vanaf Feb is er nieuwe maandindeling
1e donderdag : funavond Magic – format : Commander
2e donderdag : Magictornooi – format: draft + Boardgamenight
2e vrijdag: d&d (*vanaf maart)
3e donderdag : Magictornooi – format : sealed
extra donderdagen : Magictornooi – format : Pauper/Highlander/Tribal Wars
laatste donderdag : Boardgamenight
laatste vrijdag : Magictornooi FNM – format : draft

Wat is nu de wijziging ?
1)De FNM verhuist naar de 4e of laatste vrijdag. Dit om te voorkomen dat er 2 avonden na elkaar Magic is in de club.
2)Een extra mogelijkheid tot Boardgamen en dit op de 2e donderdag. Dit laatste omdat er door sommige BG’rs hiernaar vraag was. Of dit laatste zal aanslaan weten we voorlopig nog niet.

We zijn een kaart- en bordspellenclub uit Torhout die elke donderdagavond van de maand samenkomt om spellen te spelen.

De nadruk ligt vooral op Magic, the Gathering en bordspellen  maar ook  fantasy spelen en battlegames komen aan bod.

Het maandelijks programma ziet er telkens als volgt uit :

1ste donderdag van de maand : Magic, the Gathering : boosterdraft

2de donderdag van de maand : Magic, the Gathering : commander / bordspellenavond

3de donderdag van de maand : Magic, the Gathering : sealed deck

laatste donderdag van de maand : bordspellenavond ( en ook na afspraak open magic )

Spelreglement

– elk deck bestaat uit minimum 60 kaarten

– je mag rares proxiën ( de rare moet een kleurenprint/kopie zijn van het origineel ).

– elke kaart ( uitgezonderd BASIC land mag slechts éénmaal in je deck zitten )

– een sideboard is toegestaan

– het formaat dat gespeeld wordt is extended.

It is a theme that runs through nearly every Magic tournament in the world: the battle between local players fighting to defend a Premier level event title on their home turf from the visiting pros looking to pillage said turf for Pro Points and prize euros. The tale will be told again in Torhout as the local Torhout players try to fight off visitors from as far away as Izegem and Brugge and as close as neighboring countries. Making the story even more interesting are city rivalries, as players saw last year during PTQ’s, NQ’s en GPT’s, between Brugge, Izegem, Roeselare and other playgroups from Belgium. While fighting for their own club pride, those competing players will be working together to keep the title of The Woodland Mages champion on their home town of Torhout, and out of the hands of the other playreswho traveled from off-continent to claim the trophy for themselves.

So who should you be keeping an eye on? The biggest names in the Torhout Magic center around a contingent of local players, recognizable names like Jonathan Rotstjein, Eric Delaere, Ruben Yde, Niek Buyse and former club former club champion Jan Ver Eecke.

Het clubkampioenschap werd ditmaal beslist via Alhambra – met 16 uitbreidingen – en Eric kon ( dankzij de goodwill van Arnold ) de overwinning binnenslepen.

Dit jaar hadden we opnieuw voor schitterend weer gezorgd en onze trouwe chefkok van dienst en zijn bevallige assistente gaven opnieuw het beste van zichzelf.
